I was trained as a Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui system of Natural Healing and I can trace my lineage back to Doctor Usui.

As far as I can remember, I have enjoyed helping people from all walks of life. It didn’t matter if they were friends, family or strangers and to this day I still do that. As a teenager at sixth form at my secondary school I chose to visit elderly people and do their shopping or simply chat to them as often they were just lonely. Helping people has always given me a sense of fulfilment. Having lived in India, England and Nigeria, I feel I have gained a lot of wisdom and knowledge.

In fact the first 6 years of my life I lived in the foothills of the Himalayas in a town called Dharamshala where the Dalai Lama also resides. The Dalai Lama Temple was only a couple of kilometres away from my home. I feel blessed that I had my early years of life in such a breath-taking part of the world and I was able to soak up the energies that were being generated by the chanting from Buddhist monks. This must, I believe, have helped shape me to the adult that I am now. Living in both India and Nigeria I experienced seeing all kinds of poverty at all levels and these experiences have had a profound effect on my life.

I spent the best years of my life raising my four children; an amazing gift from God. For a few years I found myself working in the recruitment industry, which although it did put bread on the table it was deeply unfulfilling. I longed to find a vocation that would give me a feeling of doing something worthy, but I did not know what that would be at the time. Finally around 2009, after spending months searching and asking the universe for guidance I was led
into Reiki by a series of events that started with me accidentally bumping into a friend whom I had not seen for over fifteen years, and having led me to reiki I have not seen her since.

I did my Reiki Level One course with Reiki Master Darsha Vadera who is a truly amazing and wise soul. As I sat in the classroom on the Level One course I knew that at last I had received the answer to my prayer and that this was my calling, to go out and heal using the universal energy; the Ki, the Chi, the Prana. Having done the Reiki Level One course I started practicing reiki on family and friends. The feedback I had was so amazing that I knew that reiki was my path. I went on to do the Reiki Level Two course by the Reiki Master/Teacher course in 2010.

Starting the Reiki journey is one of the best things I have ever learned in my life (I also have a degree in Business Studies). It is a simple technique to learn and it is one of the most useful things I have learned in my life.

Reiki healing begins with YOU. You cannot heal the world when you yourself need healing. During that chapter of my life I had a few health issues such as anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, poor circulation, varicose veins and arthritis in one knee. That is quite a lot of health issues!! Now I understand that my body was very much out of balance. When our body is out of balance, we start to experience physical, mental and emotional issues. When our body returns to balance any symptoms of dis-ease and disharmony slowly begin to heal. This is exactly what happened to me. I no longer have any of those health issues.

During my work as a Reiki practitioner, I have been asked to treat a variety of physical, emotional and mental illnesses. This includes anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, panic attacks, migraines, backaches, diabetes, period problems, infertility, broken hearts and that is only to name a few. Among my clients I have treated many who work within the medical field; doctors, dentists, nurses, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, and counsellors. With a course of reiki treatments my clients have experienced beneficial effects to their illnesses.

Since I have started my Reiki journey I have also qualified as a Crystal Healer as well as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Reiki however still remains my speciality. I absolutely love doing reiki treatments and look forward to meeting my clients, I feel truly humbled and blessed to have been chosen to become a Reiki master. My clients report a feeling of peace and wellbeing that they have never felt before. A feeling of clarity, a feeling of being re-energised and rejuvenated! Wow all that from just lying on a couch with a Reiki practitioner just laying their hands on you! All I can think of these days is ‘why did I not know about this before?’ well the universe has its timings for everything, and I am truly thankful to the universe for guiding me to Reiki.

Reiki has given me a totally new outlook on life, I now know I am on my journey of self- discovery, I feel totally connected to the universal energy. I now have a feeling of inner peace.

I have met some amazing people already on my Reiki journey and I wish you all inner peace and happiness and I wish to say thanks to all my friends and family who have encouraged me on this journey and without their support this journey would not have been possible.

In recent years I have appeared on the Indian channel ZTV on their programme Zee Companion. It was a one hour live show that was cast to an audience in the uk and Europe. This was an amazing opportunity for me to spread love, light and healing knowledge of reiki healing.

It was an opportunity for the public to phone in and ask me any questions about reiki healing. I was very grateful to have asked to appear on that show.

In February 2021 I had a surprise phone-call  from Paula Taras who heads the Grenfell Dedicated Services Team. This is.a team of therapists offering different types of therapies to the survivors of the Grenfell  tragedy. I was invited to join that team so that I could give reiki to anyone affected by that tragedy. I feel humbled and blessed to be able to help these beautiful people.
